Poets for Pussy Riot II - Kirsten Irving

I can recall every individual reading that I've witnessed of Kirsty Irving's. That's not only because she reads so well, and has such a distinct and warm stage presence, but also the fact she always seems to read fresh work and does so in such an idiosyncratic way that it seems her contribution somehow completes the evening and its aesthetic. She is widely admired, and for good reason. I think what I most respect about her is the fact that she clearly understands her own uniqueness and how best it might be brought to bare in the medium of poetry.  She is no mean editor either, I really recommend checking out sidekick books too. http://www.drfulminare.com/index.php
